Beaver Lake Campground Alberta Recreation Area.

Beaver Lake campground is located approximately 220km North of the City of Edmonton and 4.5km South East of the town of Lac La Biche. There are 90 sites with reservations available by calling 1-877-537-2757. This campground offers campsites for both tents and larger RV's, picnic tables, public phone, showers, flush toilets, handicap, electricity, water, fire wood for sale, small store, camp kitchen, boat launches, boat rentals, fish tackle shop and fish cleaning stations. There is also a golf course located a few kilometres from here. The nearby town of Lac La Biche provides all the amenities and services one would need. Beaver Lake offers excellent Northern Pike, Perch, Whitefish, Walleye and Burbot fishing, you'll need a fishing license to try your luck. This campground is excellent for fishermen and for accessing Beaver Lake. The boat launches are paved and nicely sloped. You can also find chartered fishing services or a guide at the tackle shop. A large fishing derby put on by the town of Lac La Biche is held here every August. Beaver Lake is also perfect for canoeing and kayaking you can explore lots of arms, coves and islands. There are campsites located on the open grass and in the surrounding old growth mixed forest which offers good privacy. Beaver Lake is another bird watchers paradise and a breeding ground for several species of birds. Night skies ranks # 3 on the Bortle Scale. This is Bear country, food and food related items must be stored properly.
