Bow
River Campground.
Bow River campground is located in the
Foothills to the Rocky Mountains in
Bow Valley Provincial Park, Kananaskis country,
60 minutes west of Calgary and
1km
East of
Canmore. There are
39 well treed Campsites. The campground runs
along the South Bank of the Bow
River with nice views of the
surrounding area. This
campground fills fast on weekends
due to it's close proximity to the
City of Calgary.
All the campgrounds located in Bow
Valley Provincial Park make for an
excellent late start stop over if
you're planning to tour the National
Parks or passing through on the 1A
Highway. The
campground offers campsites for both
tents and larger RV's,
playground,
water, toilets and a pay telephone. Dry firewood is
available here for a fee. There are
a few easy hikes
that can be accessed from the
campground. Rainbow Trout, Brown
Trout and Whitefish can be caught in
the Bow River. You'll need a
fishing
license to try out your luck.
This campground is located close to
the 1A Trans Canada Highway and can
be noisy.

food and food related items must be
stored properly.
