Brewers Campground
Aspen Beach Provincial
Park.
The
Brewers campground is located on
the South shore of Gull Lake in
Aspen Beach Provincial Park approximately
135km
South of the City of
Edmonton
and
27km
North West of the City of
Red Deer. There are
a total of 300 sites with reservations
available by calling 1-877-537-2757. This
campground offers campsites for both
tents and larger RV's, group
camping, handicap spots, large sandy
beach, swimming, wind surfing,
sailing, boating, water skiing,
play grounds, picnic shelters, public
phone, concession, showers, water,
fire wood, picnic tables, sani dump,
boat launch, dock,
fish cleaning stations, ice fishing,
hiking, bird watching and off site
snowmobiling.
A golf course and
farmers market
are also located nearby. Gull Lake
is excellent for swimming. Your kids
will love the warm and shallow water
at Aspen Beach. Gull Lake also
offers
Northern Pike and
Walleye
fishing, you'll need a
fishing
license to try your luck.
This campground
fills fast on weekends and Aspen
Beach can be very crowded during the
summer months.
Boaters will find a well designed
easy to use boat launch and dock.
The camp sites are well treed and
located
in the surrounding
Boreal Forest,
some of the site back onto Gull Lake.
Gull Lake is excellent for boating,
water skiing, sailing, Canoeing and
Kayaking. Gull Lake is part of the
Red Deer River Basin and has an
approximate total surface area of
80.6sqkm with an
average depth of
5.4m,
maximum depth of
8m.
Aspen Beach Provincial Park also
attracts a large variety of
migrating waterfowl and is a great
place for birders. There is well
constructed walkway leading through
a nearby marsh complete with
telescopes mounted on observing
platforms. Aspen Beach Provincial
Park is well
maintained but often very crowded. Due to it's
close proximity to
Red Deer
and
Edmonton
it fills fast on weekends and is one
of the most heavily used
recreational lakes in Alberta.
Lakeview
Campground is also
located in this park and
Jarvis Bay
Campground is
approximately
20km
South of here. Night skies here
