Chambers
Creek Campground located
30km
west of
Rocky Mountain
House on highway #11
along side Chambers Creek.
Approximately 2.5
hours northwest from
Calgary,
3 hours southwest from
Edmonton. There are
25 campsites with picnic
tables and fire pits. Most of the
sites are surrounded by Spruce trees
creating some privacy and a few of the
camp sites back onto Cambers Creek. This campground has water,
dry toilets, information kiosk,
refuse containers, fire wood,
community kitchens and a pay
telephone. There are more then
85km
of mountain biking, snowmobiling and
off road vehicle trails located in
this area. Expect to see
quaders here on weekends. Chambers
creek holds small Brook and Brown Trout. You'll need a
fishing
license
to try out your luck. Night skies here
rank # 3-2 on the
Bortle Scale
and the road
leading to the campground is paved.
The
Beaver Dam
Campground is located
approximately
11km
west of here.
This is
bear country,
food and food related items must be
stored properly.
