Elk Flats Group Campground. (Group Camping Only)

Elk Flats Group campground is located in the Foothills to the Rocky Mountains in Bow Valley Provincial Park, Kananaskis country, 45 minutes west of Calgary and 26km East of Canmore.  This campground is for groups only and needs to be reserved. It's located near the Bow River and is excellent for originations planning outdoor group adventures in the area. Campground offers campsites for both tents and larger RV's, interpretive trails, water and toilets. Dry firewood is available here for a fee. There are a few easy hikes that can be accessed from the campground. Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and Whitefish can be caught in the Bow River. You'll need a fishing license to try out your luck. Bow Valley Campground, Willow Rock Campground, Lac Des Arc Campground, Bow River Campground and Three Sisters Campground are all located near here.
