Location: Located
on the Ice Fields Parkway near the Columbia Icefields 53kms
south of Jasper. Jasper National Park.
Description: The
campground is situated on the west
shore of beautiful Honeymoon Lake.
There are 35 campsites best suited towards tents and smaller RV's. Amenities
include picnic tables, public pay phone, potable water, dry toilets, sheltered
camp kitchen with a wood burning cook stove, garbage bins, bear proof food
storage lockers, canoe launch and fire pits. Fire wood is available when
purchasing a fire permit.
Views of Honeymoon Lake and
Endless Chain Ridge are outstanding.
The lake is crystal clear and
perfect for canoeing. Buck Lake and
Osprey Lake are only a short hike
away and well worth the effort.
Sunwapta Falls, Athabasca falls and Mount Edith Cavell are
located
a short drive north of here.
Honeymoon Lake campground would make
for a perfect Honeymoon get away.
It's name describes it perfectly. Night
skies here rank # 1-2 on the
Bortle Scale
and the road
