Long Lake Campground Alberta Provincial Park.

Long Lake campground is located on the west shore of Long Lake approximately 135km north of the City of Edmonton and 20km south of the quaint town of Boyle . There are 220 sites with reservations available by calling 1-877-537-2757. This campground offers campsites for both tents and larger RV's, group camping, handicap spots, clean sandy beach, picnic shelters, public phone, internet Wi-Fi, concession, showers, water, fire wood, picnic tables, sani dump, swimming areas, boat launches, boat rentals, fish cleaning stations, volley ball nets, horseshoe pits and several play grounds. A golf course and winter ski hill are also located nearby. Long Lake also offers good northern Pike and Walleye fishing, you'll need a fishing license to try your luck. This campground is excellent for families with young children, the kids can spend hours on the beach and nearby playgrounds. Boaters will find well designed easy to use boat launches. Campsites located on the lakeshore are a boaters dream. These sites are on groomed grass with shore posts for tying up your boat. There are both open camp sites on well kept grass and treed sites located in the surrounding Boreal Forest. Long Lake Campground is beautifully maintained and may be considered one of the nicest beach/lake Campgrounds located in Alberta. Due to it's close proximity to Edmonton it fills fast on weekends. Night skies here are good for star gazing, it ranks # 3-4 on the Bortle Scale.
