Mount Kerkeslin
Campground Jasper National
Park.
The
Mount Kerkeslin Campground is
located in the Rocky Mountains near
the bank of the Athabasca River on
the Icefields Parkway
36km
South of the Jasper town site. The
campsite is set nicely in a mature
Spruce and Fir tree forest with both
walk-in and drive to campsites.
There are 42 unserviced sites with
picnic tables and fire pits, fire
wood is available when purchasing a
fire permit. This campground is
better suited towards tents and very
small RV's. The campground has a
public pay phone, potable water that
is hauled in, dry toilets, sheltered
camp kitchen with a wood burning
cook stove, garbage bins and food
storage.
This is Bear
country, food and food related items
must be stored properly.
Views of Mount Fryatt to the South
are beautiful. Athabasca falls and
Mount Edith Cavell are locate nearby
to the North. There is a nice Sandy
area here on the bank of the
Athabasca river that makes for a
great place to set up your lawn
chair.
See the official web site
link below for fees, opening and closing
dates.
