Phyllis Lake Campground Provincial Park Recreation

Phyllis
Lake Campground is located
39km
Southwest of
Rocky Mountain
House on the shore of
Phyllis Lake.
Approximately 2.5
hours
from
the city of
Edmonton
and 3 hours from the city of
Calgary.
There are 21 campsites with picnic
tables and fire pits that are open
to each other as they mostly face
the lake. Several of the campsites
are located next to the lake close
enough to keep your boat tied up. This campground offers
a hand water pump,
dry toilets,
boat launch, dock, refuse containers,
fish cleaning stations and
fire wood.
Phyllis Lake is excellent for fly fishing, canoeing
and kayaking.
The lake is
500m
long with a maximum width of
400m.
Phyllis Lake holds Rainbow Trout,
you'll need a
fishing
license
to try out your luck. Phyllis Lake
also has a no gas boat motor restriction and is
meant
for smaller water craft. The lake is
also home to several
Loons
that can be heard throughout the day
and evening. Night skies here

Bortle Scale.
The road
leading to the campground is
2.3km
of gravel.
Tay River
campground is located
12km
West of here.
Crimson Lake
campground and
Twin Lakes
Campground are located
approximately
48km
North of here.
This is
Bear country,
food and food related items must be
stored properly.
