Trapper Lea`s Cabin Campground Provincial
Recreation Area.
Trapper Lea`s Cabin campground is located next to
the #33 Highway approximately
31km
South of the town of
Swan Hills
and approximately
251km
North
West of the City of
Edmonton. There are
a total of 18 campsites for both tents and larger
RV's, water, fire wood, picnic
tables and dry toilets. The campsites are fairly open
with a central camp kitchen.
Trapper Lea`s Cabin is a historical
site. George was proclaimed the
`Wolf Kind` for having trapped a
record amount of wolfs. George W.
Lea`s cabin was restored between
1977 and 1981 by the Swan Hills
Chamber of Commerce. The campground offers off site
quading and off site snowmobiling. Night skies here

the
Bortle Scale.
