Little Bow Reservoir Campground. Alberta Recreational Area.

The Little Bow Reservoir campground is located on North East Shore of Little Bow Reservoir, 20km South of Lomond and 1.5km West of the # 845 Highway. Don't confuse this campground with Little Bow located 30km to the East (map). There are about a dozen camp/picnic sites, available on a first come first serve basis. None of the sites are marked, but there is a nice grassy area next to the reservoir with fire pits and picnic tables. There is a manual water pump, dry toilets and refuse containers. The reservoir  offers good Pike fishing, you'll need a fishing license to try out your luck. The grassy knoll next to the campground is excellent for astronomers and star gazers. Night skies here rank # 3+ on the Bortle Scale with views to the horizon in all directions. There is about 1.5km of gravel before reaching the campground. You may find a campground host that can provide information on the local area. Travers Dam recreational area is located about 8km to the West. This short drive offers some excellent views of the Alberta prairies that you will never forget.
