Thompson Creek Alberta Recreational
Area.
This
is a nice campground located in the
Rocky Mountains a few minutes from
Saskatchewan Crossing in Jasper
National Park. There are 54 well treed Campsites
available on a first come first
serve basis only. This
campground offers campsites for both
tents and larger RV's, kitchen shelters with
wood burning cook
stoves, dry toilets and water. Dry firewood is
available here for fee.
This is
Bear country,
food and food related items must be
stored properly. On the
South end of the
campground across the bridge to the
second loop, there is a trailhead
leading to open
views of the Saskatchewan River
valley. Saskatchewan Crossing in
nearby Jasper National Park has a
restaurant, souvenir shop, gasoline
and diesel fuel. The Thompson Creek
Campground is located just outside
of Jasper National Park. It still
has the same feel as the National
Parks but less fees and
people.

and the road
leading to the campground is paved.
