Thompson Creek Alberta Recreational Area.

This is a nice campground located in the Rocky Mountains a few minutes from Saskatchewan Crossing in Jasper National Park. There are 54 well treed Campsites available on a first come first serve basis only. This campground offers campsites for both tents and larger RV's, kitchen shelters with wood burning cook stoves, dry toilets and water. Dry firewood is available here for fee. This is Bear country, food and food related items must be stored properly. On the South end of the campground across the bridge to the second loop, there is a trailhead leading to open views of the Saskatchewan River valley. Saskatchewan Crossing in nearby Jasper National Park has a restaurant, souvenir shop, gasoline and diesel fuel. The Thompson Creek Campground is located just outside of Jasper National Park. It still has the same feel as the National Parks but less fees and people. Night skies here rank # 1 on the Bortle Scale and the road leading to the campground is paved.
