Etherington Creek west Ridge Local Hike. Kananaskis Country.

The trailhead starts at the south west corner of the equestrian campground. Follow the logging road a few kilometers until you pass a barbwire fence. There is no trail up the ridge, one has to pick a route to the top.

Elevation gain is approximately 350meters and will take about 1hour from bottom to top. The ridge offers nice views of the Great Divide, Mount Etherington, Mount Boultan and the surrounding area. Mountain bikers will enjoy the old logging roads along all the valley bottoms. These old roads and trails form loops throughout the entire area and run along the Great Divide.

You are in bear country.
