Campground Comments and Reviews:

  • Make sure you start early and don''t miss the hoary marmots on the highest point.
  • Excellent Views
  • Very underrated Hike. Moderate to Hard especially if you decide to push on after the lookout and go to the Bald Hill Summit where you will be greeted by a 360 Degree fantastic view of all the peaks and Glaciers + Maligne Lake of course. It gets quite chilly and windy on the summit ( we had a snow shower as we did the hike on October 1st 2016 ).
  • The best hike we did in Jasper! The view on top of the hills is amazing. The rugged snowcapped peaks on the other side of Maligne lake were majestic. We couldn''t stop at climbing just the first hill; we had to do all 3. To us, it is a must do hike!!! Totally worth the effort!
  • Very gradual at first but more travelling fo the last bit! Very fun to challenge yourself on the climb up and on the final peak but amazingly worth the effort!
  • That’s good information.
  • We walked with two children (8 and 11) and they did well, we only got to the first top, that was enough. There was a grizly behind us, when we went back. Luckily we didn''t see it, but a woman behind us did. 26th july 2012. The hike was tough but the reward at the top great, we took the difficult way up.
  • A relish especially after some early snowfall powdering the area in September. The easy hike encourages photographers to roam the alpine meadow with a good tripod. The use of a polarizer is a must to get the most out of the impressive ridgeline embracing the lake.
