Location/Description
Location: Next to Tay River #43 highway. 62kms south of Rocky Mountain House. 60kms east of Grand Prairie Alberta.
Description: Tay River campground contains 32 campsites nicely suited for both RV’s and tents. Amenities include water, fire pits, dry toilets, picnic tables, refuse containers and community kitchen. Firewood available for sale.
Most of the campsites are located on open grass with a few choice sites located next to the river. The campground is popular with off road enthusiasts Expect lots of off road vehicles during the summer months. Tay River offers good fly fishing for Brown Trout, Bull Trout and Whitefish. You’ll need a fishing license to try your luck.
Night skies here rank #3-4 on the Bortle Scale. This is bear country, food and food related items must be stored properly.
